VoIP - 3 Ways to Make The Call

We’re hearing a lot about Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) these days. I for one am a big fan of this technology. Did you know that you could actually use VoIP in 3 different ways? That’s right! There are really 3 different ways that you can ‘make the call’. Ok, you can actually receive the call 3 different ways as well.

First up is probably the most popular. I use this way myself and most of the residential providers out there today use this as well. What is it?

ATA – Analog Telephone Adapter

Your normal phone plugs into an ATA that you received from your VoIP provider. This is the most common way to get hooked into VoIP. This device takes care of all the magic that occurs when you make and receive your calls over your broadband connection. Your analog phone signal must be converted to digital to be routed through your broadband connection and this ATA does the job.

IP Phone – Internet Protocol Phones

As the name would imply, these are ‘special’ phones. You wouldn’t know it by looking at them. They look like normal phones. What is different about these phones is the electronics inside them and the fact they don’t take a ‘regular’ phone cable (RJ-11). Instead these phones take an Ethernet cable connection (RJ-45) and also come equipped with the necessary electronics to plug directly into your router.

Computer-to-Computer

This is the oldest and possibly the easiest way to get plugged into VoIP. Here instead of using your normal phone or IP phone to make calls through your broadband connection, you use your computer itself! (You could do this over dial-up, but broadband is certainly better) There are a number of services available that offer no cost or low cost service. You’ll need the software and a microphone to speak into and speakers to hear from and of course your computer and a high-speed internet connection. Some providers offer this service for free when their software is being used on both ends of the call.

Watch out for Wi-Fi (using IP phones) and other advancements in VoIP technology. We truly are on the verge of a major breakthrough in telecommunications. So, what are you waiting for? Make the call!

What To Look For In A Turnkey Website

A lot of places online offer turnkey websites, all ready for you
to buy and start making money. Have you ever thought about
trying one of these turnkey businesses for yourself? Before you
consider buying a turnkey website, here is a short checklist to
make sure you’re going to have everything you need to make money
with it.

The first thing you will need to do is see the site itself, and
ensure you see it in action from the potential customers point
of view. It will be no use having a website which looks nice but
is too difficult for your potential clients to use. Make sure
all the functions, and links are working and that the website
does as it should.

Next you will need to see if your potential turnkey website is
easy enough for you to use. A lot of sellers of turnkey sites
will let you log in to the administration panel and have a play
around with the features in there. Take the opportunity to make
sure you are confident in changing aspects of the site, and that
you will be able to understand the functions well enough to set
up the site the way you want.

You may find that the turnkey system includes a domain name and
hosting, although some sellers will just offer an installation
service included in the purchase price. If you are getting a
domain name and hosting, check first the price you will pay for
the hosting service after the initial period which is included
in the sale. Some less scrupulous dealers will offer you a great
price for the turnkey website package but lock you into an
expensive monthly hosting contract, and it can be quite
difficult for the inexperienced to move a site once it is setup
and running. A reasonable price to pay for a domain hosting
account is $3-$6 a month depending on the size and usage you
expect the site to get.

A turnkey website can be a goldmine when you ensure it is setup
correctly from the start, so make sure you look carefully at the
whole turnkey package before buying. It can save you a lot of
problems later, if you check everything now, and your turnkey
site could become one of your best investments ever.

Sports Betting 101- How to Bet on College Football

College Football is still considered the king amongst many for wagering purposes due to the sheer number of games played by the various teams in the various divisions on a weekly basis, which means that in truth there are indeed many more opportunities that can be found in terms of sheer “value” in College sports over professional sports, however, most do not understand that while wagering on College football is almost identical to wagering on the NFL, the handicapping principles involved are totally different, below you will find some solid advice from Jim Campbell which has greatly contributed to his achieving a total combined average winning rate of 59.88% in all sports over the past EIGHT years.

1) Use discipline in the number of games you wager on weekly, you must have a sound money management game plan in place which from the outside looking in, is based on a wagering concept of “units per game”, but on the inside is really based on percentage of bankroll. I recommend NEVER wagering more than 5% of your total bankroll on any given game and no more than 25% of your total bankroll on any given weekend. Most wagers should fall within the 2% or 3% range, you can then either use a “flat betting” system in which you wager the same amount on each game or use a “best bet” format in which you rate your games highest to lowest and assign your betting percentages accordingly.

2) Most novices or beginning gamblers should use a flat betting system based on percentage of bankroll for the best long-term results, for example, if your starting bankroll is $5000 then a 2% wager on a contest would be $100, meanwhile a 3% wager from the same $5000 starting bankroll would be a $150 wager. A flat bettor would then wager either $100 or $150 on each contest but not exceed the 25% of total bankroll mark of $1250 (based on the same starting bankroll of $5000) over the course of the week. Once the weekend results are finalized you would then have a different bankroll total based on your winnings or loses for the week, this becomes your new bankroll, the next week you would then adjust upward or downward the amounts wagered on a per game basis based on your new “percentage of bankroll” numbers. Remember that everyone will have their share of good weeks and everyone will have their share of bad weeks, the idea is to not place all of your eggs in one basket, you must be able to survive the bad weeks if you want to come out ahead in the long term.

3) A good strategy to follow is to focus in on the local teams in your neck of the woods, the reasoning is simplistic in that in most cases a gambler first started as a fan, meaning that in general terms no one knows the local teams better than a local fan which in this case is YOU, however, you must be careful not to bet with your heart and instead use your head, for example, although I advocate using off-shore sports books as a means of having multiple outs for the purpose of “line-shopping”, I also advocate using a local book when placing a wager against a local team, the reason is based on line “value”, in many cases a local line on a local team can vary by as many as one or two points, mainly because of the fact that the vast majority of local fans wager on local teams which in turn means that a local line is often different that a national line on the very same game.

One of the nations most prolific handicappers is Jim Campbell who can be found at www.footballforecastor.com, he once again showed his expertise by finishing the 2005-2006 college football season with an overall amazing and eye opening mark of 49-32-1 ATS for a winning rate of 60.49% which includes a record of 9-4 ATS with his College Bowl selections and also includes his winning selection of Texas over USC in the BCS National Championship Game, that winning result on Texas means that Jim Campbell has now correctly picked the point spread winner in the past EIGHT straight College National Championship games.

Over the past 35 yrs plus, Jim Campbell has been on both sides of the Sports Investment Business, as a entrepreneur that ran his own business, to building and maintaining a private clientele base that greatly benefits from his superior handicapping expertise in the sporting arena.

Jim Campbell runs www.FootballForecastor.com which has been an internet based sports handicapping service since 1997, you will be hard pressed to find another handicapper that has had the kind of success Jim has had, over the past eight years he has maintained one of the very best winning percentages of any sports handicapping service.

Jim Campbell finished the final four weeks of the 2005 NFL regular season with a mark of 14-5-2 ATS coming down the stretch for a winning rate of 73.68% and for the season in the NFL he finished with an overall mark of 48-33-4 ATS for a winning rate of 59.26% and that includes a perfect mark of 7-0 ATS in the NFL Playoffs, Jim has posted a mark of 6-2 ATS over the past EIGHT years with his Super Bowl selecton.

What To Do When Nothing Is Working Out For You

If you are one of those people for whom things are just not going the way they want …. if you think that things work out wonderfully well for everyone else BUT you, then you should sit back, relax and ponder upon your situation in this light:

We have all been brought up “in comparison” to others. There is an ideal time to go to school, finish college, get married, make money, have children etc and then everything HAS to repeat itself the same way for our children and so on!

If we are ever “behind” anyone (or everyone) in achieving a certain goal, a lot of anxiety and despair comes rushing into our lives. We then desperately try all kinds of things to get to that goal, all the while worrying that it will not happen for us…and what is the result? It actually doesn’t! The more you despair for something, the more of these “wanting” vibrations will be released into the Universe and you will end up with more of “wanting” and no “gaining”.

I want you to remember that it is always a BIG mistake to judge your life by comparing it with others. Your circumstances are completely different from them…. plans and things that work for them cannot work in exactly the same way for you. By worrying about why things are not working out for you in the same way, you CREATE a reality for that time; that those things or plans are not working for you. It is all because you are defining your reality by comparing it with someone else. Some one else’s reality does not have anything to do with your reality.

Here is a better way of thinking and putting things in perspective: First and foremost, realise completely how you have acquired this state of mind. Accept that you have been comparing your reality with others and that is not taking you anywhere… they have a completely different path in life than yours. Love yourself the way you are, love your circumstances and accept that things at present are exactly as they should be. Also, allow yourself to believe that you WILL succeed although not in EXACTLY the same way that you want to. Perhaps God/Universe/Spirit wants to take you through a different path, but you WILL get there. Trust that although things may or may not turn out to be the way that you want them to, they WILL turn out in a way that is best for you. You have to be relaxed and non-judgemental for things to start working in the direction of your success. Set your OWN definitions of success, and do not base your happiness on how everything is working out for others.

Take action, but do not struggle to control each and every event in your life. Try to do all that you can to make things right and then trust in God/Universe/Spirit to take you to your goal. You will be happier, more secure and will have peace and love in your heart and best of all, eventually things will start going your way.

Jednak nurkowanie w niej potrzebuje specjalnego przygotowania i przewodnika, aby odkryć niepowtarzalny urok penetracji jaskini.

Osiągnęliśmy max głębokość 25 m i ruszyliśmy w drogę powrotną. W komnacie przy wejściu doświadczyliśmy przepięknego widoku wielkiego błękitu morza, spotkaliśmy liczne kolonie gąbek, ławice glassfish’ów (Parapriacanthus ransonneti) i innych ciekawych mieszkańców jaskini.

Effective Phone Sales

Hate cold calling prospects? Yeah, me to. But in todays fast moving business environment prospecting either directly or by phone is a must. Gone are the days when you sit back and just wait for your products or service to be sold. Theses days you have prospect daily in order to get your products, service, and Company, out there on customers mind.

In my daily work, I call about 100 prospects daily. I wish it could be more but being a small business owner of safety supply company and “wearing a lot of hats” time just does’nt allow me.So what do I do to get into the flow of making “cold calls” and baing effective at it? Well, it pretty simple.

First, you must have some sort of contact manager. I work with a very inexpensive one that already comes with my computer bundle of software (Microsoft Outlook). I set up my prospects information and set up times.Second, I use a cordless phone with a headtset. Headsets are great becasue it frees up your hand to write down important information you can use to profile your prospect. Third, I make the call. I ask for the person who makes the buying decision. Also, try to keep it short. “Gatekeepers” usually dont like to hear long, scripted speeches. Besides they are not the ones you want to sell to.When you get the person you want to speak with, be pleasant, direct, and dont SELL them anything. Rather offer them a solution. You do this asking question on what issues they have and you present them how you can help them solve the issue/problem.For example, when I call a prospect and ask them about there operations and the hazards they may have, I pick up (LISTEN) on what they tel!

l me an OFFER them a solution. (Dear Mr. Doe, it seems to me your meat cutting line may be in risk of some serious danger from the knive/machine use. I have this HandFortress glove that has been used in similar plants with good result) Get the idea. And last but never never never least…Follow up..Follow up. Follow up even if they say No we dont need your products/service at this time. Always say something like ” thank you for the opportunity. Im sorry to hear we cant work together now, but is ok if I call you back in a few months? Remember things chage and (the person who said to you the first time may have Changed his job).

Well hope this helps. Remeber every situation is different but the principles remain the same:

* organize yourself

* make the call (dont be scared of a NO)

* ask for the right person and ask how you can help, not sell

* follow up follow up.

Why Mobile SMS/Text Messaging?

What is Mobile SMS/ Test Messaging?

Mobile text Messaging, or Short Message Service (SMS), as we all know it, is the ability to send and receive text messages to and from mobile telephones. The text can comprise words or numbers or an alphanumeric combination. SMS was created as part of the GSM Phase 1 standard. The first short message is believed to have been sent in December 1992 from a Personal Computer (PC) to a mobile phone on the Vodafone GSM network in the UK. Each short message can be up to 160 characters is length when Latin alphabets are used.

Customer Usage and Market Growth

There is no doubting the success of the Short Message Service - the market in India alone has reached over one billion messages despite little proactive marketing by network operators and phone manufacturers. Key market drivers over the next two years such as the access of cheaper mobile technology to the masses will continue this growth path.

Mobile Messaging: How can your business benefit?

Enterprise Messaging

Enterprise uptake of mobile applications is set for phenomenal growth. By 2005, Gartner anticipates that 65 percent of enterprises will be harnessing the power of wireless applications to efficiently automate the existing business processes and use wireless connectivity for one or more user groups.

Statistics are already showing a considerable growth in the enterprise messaging, within the last seven quarters.

Where does enterprise messaging fit into your business

No matter what the nature or model of your business is, you can effectively exploit the potential of Mobile Messaging. Following are some examples of the application areas where Mobile Messaging is excelling:

1. B2B Messaging

Mobile terminated and mobile originated SMS and MMS via UCP, XML and PHP interface

Benefits: Using industry standard protocols provide easy integration with existing systems as well as a robust and scalable model for future technologies.

2. B2B Campaigns and list processing

Permission-based mobile marketing campaign of consumer goods, advertisement campaign, promotions etc.

Benefits: Mobile marketing provides unparallel advantage of effectively targeting specific audience level.

3. B2B Applications

Customized mobile applications conforming to a business rule and addressing a specific target audience. Example: MIS reports to mobile sales force, critical data to mobile technical work force. The possibilities are unlimited and the flexibility is enormous!

How to choose a high quality and reliable service provider for SMS/Text Messaging for your enterprise messaging needs?

The first option that comes to one’s mind is mobile operators. However, though they have complete control over network infrastructure, they are generally not too keen to service customer for meeting their messaging needs. The prime reasons for this are:

  • Enterprise messaging involves complex integration with backend database/applications
  • The volume of messages is typically not high (except in large B2C companies)
  • The criticality of message delivery is extremely high
  • Operators largely cross subsidise ‘voice’ with ‘data’ services.
  • It a specific network is down, then the service suffers.
  • The service need extra attention in terms of providing high service levels

There are many independent providers of mobile data services focussed in the domain of enterprise messaging that provide end-to-end SMS/text messaging service. For example, ValueFirst (http://www.vfirst.com) provides SMS/Text messaging services to enterprises.

There are several advantages of working with an operator neutral service provider:

  • Easy and quick integration with back-end application/databases
  • Connections with multiple operators ensure better service quality (i.e. service is continued even if the network of a specific operator fails)
  • Single entry point into the mobile networks.
  • Uniform application access – no duplicate efforts required
  • Reliability and timeliness - Acknowledged mobile messaging with guaranteed message delivery information available
  • Integrated payment – one stop shop for all billing aspects and
  • Seamless and secure messaging environment.

Have they really changed?

Take a moment to think back to when you first met your partner.

Remember how that felt? That warm, sunny glow that seemed to
spill over into everything? No doubt your partner did things
that weren’t perfect, no doubt they exhibited some of the
characteristics then that you find so irritating now.

What changed? Many things I imagine, but significantly, your
perspective.

What may have been a minor irritation back then may well be a
major flaw by now. Strangely enough, the things people find
endearing in their partners to start with can become major
frustrations down the track.

At first we like that our partner is different to us, it
complements us, balances us. As time goes by, those same
differences become flaws.

Jane and Bill have been together a while. Bill used to describe
Jane as sensitive, warm and free spirited. He now sees her as
over-emotional, soppy and disorganised.

Same traits, different spin. Why? What’s changed?

Bill’s focus and perspective. He used to love how Jane’s
personality complemented his. Now it drives him nuts. If he
could try and recapture some of his old perspective, he may well
see Jane’s so called flaws in a whole new light.

Often what people find so annoying now is the very thing they
were drawn to at first. Look at the relationship as objectively
as you can. Can you see how you complement each other? How you
balance each other out?

Remember as a child creating a whirlpool in a swimming pool?

Constant movement in one direction produced a force that carried
you along. You got stuck in a pattern of behaviour. The momentum
propelled you forward.

Relationships can be like that, either positively or negatively.
They can be propelled by either negative or positive energy. The
more negative you create, the more the pattern continues.

Remember in that pool what it was like when you turned around?
That pattern was hard to swim against. So too is negativity hard
to turn around. But once a pattern is established, the momentum
carries you onwards and upwards.

Momentum can be changed two ways - through either thought or
action. Thought is not the same as feelings or emotions. These
ebb and flow like the tide. Thought is fairly constant.

No doubt you still love your partner on some level, even if you
are having problems. When a relationship stumbles, we often try
to recapture the emotion. Emotions are fleeting, they are a by
product of our thoughts.

Action however, is a powerful way to recapture those feelings.
If you act lovingly, your partner responds lovingly, which
produces loving feelings. Action first, feeling second.

How do you act lovingly toward your partner? How do you show
them how they are loved? Do you know how they liked to be loved?
What is important here is how they liked to be loved, not
necessarily how you want to express it.

Ask them. You may be surprised. It may be long walks, massage,
dinners out, who knows? They do. Don’t assume - ask. It’s a
powerful question that deserves a response. Just think how it
would feel to be asked that! It shows real commitment to the
relationship.

Act as if you feel loving. The loving thoughts will come. Any
and every relationship has periods of feeling disconnected.
Don’t panic.

It will come back. Choose to focus and concentrate on the
positive, fun aspects of your relationship. Give out what you
want to receive back.

Keep trying. Good long term relationships see the bad patches
through.

Video Poker - The Basics

After Blackjack and Craps, video poker gives you some of the
best odds in the casino if you play it right. It combines some
of the fun of a slot machine with some of the fun of a table
game, all without rushing you to play. This is why many
professional gamblers use video poker as a means of relaxation
in between the demands of blackjack or a table poker game.

For many years now, video poker has steadily increased in
popularity in the casinos. While many video poker machines may
look like slot machines, make no mistake about it - they are
not! Unlike slot machines, video poker is a combination of luck
AND skill.

The cards are dealt randomly, just as in a real poker game. The
house’s edge is determined by how much it pays for the various
combinations of winning hands. Different machines have different
payout schedules for the various poker hands, so be sure to
choose a machine with a favorable payout schedule.

In order to play video poker with any chance at winning, you
must know the basics about playing five card draw poker, which
is beyond the scope of this article. We’ll assume you know the
basics of the game and how the various poker hands are ranked.

To play a video poker machine, you simply insert one or more
coins (usually up to a maximum of five) and push the “deal”
button. Five cards are dealt to you on the screen. You choose
the ones you want to hold by pushing the “hold” button
underneath each card.

You then push the “deal” button again and you will be dealt the
number of cards you choose not to keep, to form your final, five
card poker hand. If you end up with a winning combination, you
are paid according to the payout schedule.

It’s as simple as that! Many video poker machines have a payout
schedule that is 97 or 98%. In another article, we’ll explain
the schedule with the best odds.

Until then, good luck!

Affiliate Marketing: Why I Love Clickbank

There are a number of reasons why I like the ClickBank affiliate program. The Clickbank Marketplace is an amazing program that allows you to generate revenue, which is included in their affiliate zone. This site is friendly, and resourceful, one that generates traffic, commission sales and runs by itself.

Clickbank also features a professional design and comes fully developed as a search engine. It is fed by the Clickbank’s Marketplace of over 50,000 products and businesses. The Clickbank Marketplace offers an automated database update system and Clickbank cookie features giving you commissions on sales from visitor’s for up to three months after a visitor has left your site!

The commission percentage structure is based on monthly revenues through sales from your Clickbank ID. You receive a commission rate form 5-65% that is determined by the partner site. This is one place where you won’t have to sit around and wait for your checks because ClickBank pays you through faster venues (like PayPal).

ClickBank not only allows you to accept credit cards on your web site without the need for a merchant account, but it also provides other ways in which you can generate income. I’ll highlight five different ways you can start making money with ClickBank.

1. Become an affiliate for ClickBank products

You can easily sign up as an affiliate through their website at http://clickbank.com. Take some time to “shop” and look through the full range of products that are in their marketplace for products that you’d like to promote. For example, you can start by looking in the appropriate category on products that you have a good handle on. You should find products that match up well with your existing business and that you’ll be able to promote to your mailing list.

To promote a product, you simply create a hoplink, which is designed in the following format:

http://hop.clickbank.net/hop.cgi?nickname/merchant

All you have to do is replace the word ‘nickname’ above with your own ClickBank nickname, and ‘merchant’ with the nickname of the merchant. It’s that simple. If you’re not sure what the nickname of the merchant is, you can always go to their sales page and get it from their sales link which will probably look like this:

http://www.clickbank.net/sell.cgi?Merchant/1/ProductName

Where ‘Merchant’ is the merchant’s nickname. Or you can look for an automatic way to generate hoplinks by trying to find it at the page below:

http://clickbanktoolkit.com/promoteaproduct.html

2. Sell your own product through ClickBank

There’s no better way of making money online than selling your own product, and with ClickBank you can start doing this very quickly and with little trouble.

You can sell up to 50 different downloadable products through ClickBank with a single account. To become a merchant costs less than $50, rather than the hundreds of dollars it often takes to set up your own merchant account.

The best part is that you will not be going it alone either. There are literally thousands of web masters that sell their products through ClickBank. Some of these people include, but are not limited to, Ben Prater, Joe Vitale, Jeremy Burns and Jim Edwards.

3. Sign up your own ClickBank affiliates

When you sign up with ClickBank as a vendor, you can start recruiting affiliates to sell your product almost immediately. If the other affiliates are receiving commissions from selling your product that means YOU are making money as well. The best thing about this is that you can choose exactly what level of commission you want your affiliates to receive.

4. Refer new clients to ClickBank

You can earn a great deal of money just by promoting ClickBank itself. You can get complete details about this at: http://clickbank.net/reseller.html You won’t make millions doing this referral, but it’s useful as an additional income stream with commissions that can range between $0.05 and $10.00. When you are trying to make some money, every little bit helps.

5. Promote a ClickBank Storefront

What makes ClickBank a great program is that ClickBank actually has its own MarketPlace. The Clickbank Marketplace is fairly limited in terms of how functional it is, but various companies offer a ’storefront’ for all (or some) of the products listed in it. Also, each one of which will have your ClickBank affiliate nickname attached to it giving you even more exposure.

The idea is that you can promote your own storefront, get commissions from people who visit, and go on to purchase products that are listed. All of these moneymaking possibilities are appealing to all affiliate marketers.

One of the most powerful link ups that I’ve seen so far is http://www.CBGold.com, followed by a couple of others you can view for comparison at 1stPromotion.com and ClickbankAffiliates.com. I guarantee that it will be worth your time.
