Use a CPanel Server to Easily Start a Web Hosting Business

What is cPanel?

cPanel is a web hosting control panel system that is installed on a dedicated server. The control panel system comes in two parts: Web Host Manager (WHM) for the web host, and cPanel for the end-user.

Web Host Manager (WHM), which allows the webhost to easily administer individual hosting accounts, reseller accounts and perform basic system and control panel maintenance via a secure interface. A web host does not need to know how to manually set up user accounts, passwords, ftp accounts or mail accounts through the command line as is typical of all dedicated servers. The user interface makes creating an account a breeze with one-click creation of accounts.

cPanel is designed for the end-users (hosting customers) and allows them to control everything in their accounts, including adding / removing email accounts, administering MySQL databases, creating redirects, creating FTP accounts and many more.

Getting a cPanel server

Not all dedicated servers purchased/leased from server providers come with cPanel. There are numerous other types of automated control panels available, so choosing a server that comes with cPanel is important. cPanel has partnerships with leading datacenters and offer a discounted rate on cPanel license when purchased together with the server. Examples of cPanel partner NOCs (Network Operating Centers) are BurstNet and LiquidWeb. These NOCs may offer a server with no control panel, or include a cPanel license at a norminal fee of $19.95.
However, as of now, cPanel can only be installed on a linux based dedicated server or virtual private server.

What’s next after getting a server?

Before running out to advertise and to get clients for your new hosting business, you must remember to run some initializations on your cPanel server if your datacenter did not already do it for you. Listed in order are the steps required on a new server:

1. Set up nameservers
2. Secure the server by tweaking security settings
3. Check that all server services are running
4. Install add-on scripts that you would like to offer your clients
5. Install security scripts if you wish to increase server security

Other things you should know

Despite all its features, cPanel does not include any customer billing feature for web hosts to manage customer accounts and payments. As such, you would still have to manually register new clients and bill existing clients through some form of online form or email. This usually includes signing up for a Paypal or merchant account in order to receive payments. A more advanced payment solution such as Modernbill would manage cPanel by creating accounts and also bill your clients at the required times.

Creating Your Own Internet Marketing Product through a Home Based Business

There are thousands of marketing tool kits available online for a whole range of prices, but what if you are not interested in buying someone else’s tool kit and are more interested in creating your own internet marketing product and toolkit to sell. Well, there are plenty of ways to going about doing this.

First, you should have considerable information that you can easily compile into a toolkit or e-book to sell. Whatever information you are including in your marketing product, make sure it is viable and relative information your customers can use and will find practical. Providing this information will carry you a long way when it comes to customer reviews and recommendations of your product. Make sure any information that is not yours is documented properly and that you have permission to use it. When you start compiling the information, make sure it looks professional.

Also, be sure the information is easy to read and understand. Bullet points, lists and step by step guides are very helpful for individuals interested in learning how to market a product. Edit your e-book or toolkit several times as well as have another set of eyes read over it to make sure it is clear, concise, and understandable. The last thing you want is to provide confusing information and receive hundreds of emails that you don’t have time to response to. Do it right the first time and you will receive more customers, positive reviews and constant cash flow.

There are a variety of software programs that can help you compile this information into a professional and easily read e-book or toolkit. Certainly, if you plan on selling and creating your own internet marketing product, you will want to make sure it is professional, organized, detailed and provides real and pertinent information to your customers.Once you have created your own internet marketing product, you will want to have a way to get it out to the public. As a result, you will need a web page or a minipage that is dedicated to selling this product to customers. Generally, you can find a web hosting company that charges a small fee monthly that will register a URL for you and host your page.

Also, most have
a web page builder program if you are not knowledgeable of building web pages and design. The most important aspects of this web page are reviews of the product and a purchase now button. You will want to make the checkout process as easy as possible because once customers have decided to buy; they want the process to be quick and easy. If not, you will likely lose a customer. Additionally, you will want to have Paypal or another program such as this that accepts a variety of payment options in a wide range of currencies. This will allow you to market and sell your marketing guide to
people worldwide.

How Examples Can Help You Get More Publicity

People often ask me how to make their stories more attractive to the media. I tell them that providing examples is one of the best ways to do just that.

What do I mean by examples? Examples may include:

1. Client comments or testimonials.

To promote http://www.vegangal.com/: “Jane Johnson spent most of her life overweight. After trying every type of diet, she found a video on becoming a vegan at http://www.vegangal.com/. Six months later, she had lost 30 pounds and gained a great outlook on life.”

2. Expert quotes and opinions.

To promote the benefits of a particular hedge fund: Notes Dave Fields, a leading hedge fund analyst, “Hedge funds typically offer investors a 5% greater return than any other type of investment.”

3. Anecdotes about people related to current trends.

To promote Pamella Roland white pantsuits: “White pantsuits have recently been seen on the bridal runways of Richard Tyler, Saison Blanche and Pronovias. This year a Pamella Roland client in her late 30s got married in a white pantsuit in Palm Desert, California. And trend-setter Ashleigh Banfield, Court TV reporter, wore ivory silk palazzo pants, as well as a veil, to her wedding in 2004.”

In fact, examples can actually help promote your business more powerfully than just a story about your business. And they’re exactly what many reporters are looking for. Why? Because we all like interesting stories. And examples provide depth to those stories.

Business stories in particular often contain examples. “Examples can be critical for the right article,” says freelance writer Jeff Zbar. “I prefer two examples. I especially like examples from different types of people, such as an expert and a customer.”

Providing examples can also give you the edge over other sources. Stephane Fitch, a reporter at Forbes Magazine, notes that he will often choose to quote someone who has provided a great example, vs. one who didn’t provide one.

So, be sure to collect promotional examples about your organization. They may be the key to getting great media coverage.

The Sexually Satisfied Marriage

Marriage is like a tricycle. One of the back wheels is the mental (emotional) area in marriage, another back wheel is for the physical (sexual), and the front wheel, which is the leader, is for the spiritual aspects of the marriage. If one of these facets of marriage is missing, what is going to happen? The marriage is going to be unbalanced and topple over.

Did you know that your feelings affect your sexual appetite? For instance, if you’re feeling bitter, resentful, or guilty towards your spouse, you won’t feel like having sex with them. Should we deprive our spouse of sex because of how we are feeling? I don’t think so.

It is not right to deny our spouse the sexual fulfillment that marriage so much needs just because we’re mad at them or we’re having a bad day. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Feelings of bitterness are caused by an unforgiving attitude. Please go back and read my articles on how to forgive properly. Jesus said we are to forgive seventy times seven…forgiving properly means that we don’t harbor the pain anymore, and that means we don’t bring up the issue with our spouse again! Period!

Ladies, we are in control when it comes to the sexual aspects of the marriage. Learn to use that to your advantage. After lovemaking is the best time to discuss any other issues that are bothering you. Be nice, and express yourself lovingly and appropriately. Don’t nag and complain.

Many couples don’t discuss their sexual preferences with each other. But this is not the time to be shy either. It’s very vital to the sexual health of the marriage that couples express their pleasures in the bedroom arena. Both need to know and be acquainted with the zones and parts of the body, which are capable of producing pleasurable sensations.

Below are a few guidelines to take note of for a great sensual and passionate marriage, even after ten, twenty, and more years of marriage!

1. Allow spouse the freedom to be who they are. Be understanding and considerate of their feelings at all times, not just in the bedroom.

2. Communicate any sexual issues and problems that have developed in the marriage. Let go of sexual inhibitions and express your pleasures in the lovemaking arena. Ladies, men like to give pleasure to their wives, so now is your chance to speak up and tell him what you like.

3. Thank God everyday that you are married to a person who is willing to discuss and express these issues with you.

4. Always be loving and available. Sometimes we women just aren’t in the mood. But it doesn’t matter; give yourself to your husband anyway, unless for a very good reason, such as, being sick or going through menstruation.

5. Create an appealing bedroom that you both like. Redecorate it with tasteful decor that you both have picked out.

6. Make yourself attractive and pleasing to each other. Ladies, buy yourself a new skimpy nightgown, and men buy some bikini briefs. If you already wear that kind of under clothing, buy some silky cartoon boxers - something different that you wouldn’t normally wear.

7. Be romantic and loving. Light some aromatic candles for a sensual and romantic atmosphere.

This is for the ladies reading this. Men NEED to have sex. Some men like it everyday, others every other day, while others maybe two times a week. Be ready when your husband wants to have sex. Don’t reject your husband for just any reason; make him feel loved and good about himself. Men need and love this kind of sensual pampering.

When we reject our husband, that is when they begin THINKING about looking elsewhere to find fulfillment, and we don’t want that, do we ladies? So often we take our husband for granted in this area, and don’t realize the importance of sexual fulfillment for the man in our life. Don’t give him any reasons to look elsewhere, take care of him!

This is for the men reading this. The most important thing you can do for your wife is don’t rush into the sex act in 30 seconds. Come on now, be more considerate. You know it takes your wife a bit longer than you. Tell her how much you love her, and rub her all over first; wherever she likes to be rubbed. Learn to be more patient in the bedroom, your time will come soon enough.

Bottom line, do not deprive or reject each other! A happy sexual relationship involves right attitudes. It is God’s will that married couples enjoy sexual relations with each other. Find out what wheel is missing in your marriage and fix it.

“The wife’s body does not belong to her alone, but also to her husband. In the same way, the husband’s body does not belong to him alone but also to his wife. Do not deprive each other except by MUTUAL consent and for A TIME, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so Satan will not TEMPT you because of your lack of self-control.
1 Corinthians 7:4-6

Online wagering should be banned

The topic of online gambling is extremely controversial. While there is no way to deny the worldwide popularity of online wagering, this does not mean that it is by any means free of controversy. Groups and individuals around the world feel that online wagering should be banned. While this would be an extremely difficult goal to achieve, recent legislation in countries like the United States show that it is possible to place serious legal restrictions on the online wagering industry.

So, why is there so much support for online gambling to be banned? Here’s a quick look at the two most popular reasons for wanting to ban online wagering:

  • Online gambling is addictive: Most gambling addiction specialists agree that of all the types of gambling, online gambling presents the biggest risk of causing addiction. Because people can take part in online wagering anytime of the day from the comfort and privacy of their own homes, it is extremely easy to hide an online gambling addiction. Additionally, people who are just starting out with online wagering may win some money due to luck. However, many mistake this luck for skill, and end up getting into serious debt trying to win larger and larger sums of money.
  • Online wagering companies avoid taxes: Because most online wagering companies have their servers set up in countries like Gibraltar and Malta, it is extremely difficult for countries to regulate things such as imposing taxes on the revenue these companies generate. Therefore, many feel that it would be easier to simply ban online wagering instead of trying to monitor and regulate the industry.

Ask the Expert: When Do I Refinance My Home?

Home refinancing is a wonderful financial tool for homeowners to use for debt management to investments. If the home refinance is used
correctly, wisely, and at the right time, the benefits from the refinance
can improve the financial picture of the homeowner. There is no cookie
cutter approach to refinancing. Each individual or family has their own
unique set of circumstances. Here are some common questions
homeowners often ask when they are considering refinancing.

What is the most critical question to ask myself when refinancing a
home?
Is refinancing going to put you in a better position financially? Will
refinancing reduce your monthly expenses, meet a critical family
requirement, or improve your investment portfolio? If the answer is yes, it
is probably a good time to refinance.

What is a cost benefit analysis?
This is a detailed account of the actual cost of refinancing and helps
provide the best financial decision. Cost-benefit analysis analyzes the
cost effectiveness of different alternatives in order to see whether the
benefits outweigh the costs When you look at the actual costs of
refinancing, determine how long it will take to recoup costs. Is it worth it?

A qualified mortgage professional should review your alternatives and
help you determine if the benefits outweigh the near and long term
costs. The rule of thumb regarding the cost vs. benefit of refinancing is
that you need a 1- 2% “spread” between your existing interest rate and
today’s current rates. Refinancing, No Cash-Out option can reduce your
monthly mortgage payment or reduce the remaining term of your loan
and thus probably save tens of thousands of dollars in interest over the
long-run. Cash-Out withdraws cash (reduces equity) for home
improvement, educational tuition, debt consolidation or for such
purchases as a investment property or second home, auto, or other
major purchase.

How often should I refinance?
Some people refinance frequently but a rule of thumb should be that you
have held the property for one year. Refinancing allows the homeowner
to use the home to conduct transactions that allow opportunities and
possibly enhance the homeowner’s asset pool or reduce the financial
short-term burden of the homeowner. How the homeowner approaches
the refinance is critical to long-term financial net worth. If the homeowner is utilizing the home as a second checking account to payoff consumer debt, financial stability for future years is reduced through ineffective money management by reducing the homeowner’s equity. The ability for the consumer to build equity is in essence a long term subtle retirement plan for the homeowner.

What are some questions I can ask the mortgage company or the bank
handling my refinancing?
The scope of financial knowledge a mortgage consultant or loan officer
possesses matters in this transaction. This person should have a
thorough knowledge of money and how it works. Begin by asking about
their professional credentials. The best mortgage professionals will
have formal business education, professional experience in the
financial industry, and the institutional knowledge to place you in the
right product. At Breakwater Mortgage in Virginia Beach, we select our
mortgage consultants, loan officers, and loan originators based on
strengths in these areas. Often lenders, banks, and other mortgage
companies do not conduct a detailed review of potential employees that
will handle your most important asset. Ask your mortgage professional
why they are recommending a certain loan product to you. You should
also feel free to ask personal questions such as: Do you own a home?
What type of mortgage do you have? What is your credit score? The
answers will reveal information about their money management. If you
do not feel comfortable with your mortgage professional, research a
qualified individual who will help you based on your needs. It’s worth it
to take the time to find the right mortgage professional.

Does location of the home matter when considering refinancing?
Yes, it matters a great deal. Some real estate markets have reached
their peak. Do not refinance at the top of the market. Research and see
how quickly homes are selling in your area. Contact your local
professionals regarding home values in your market. They will be able
to give you their opinion, home comps, assessments of home value
trends in your area. I recommend you leave 10-15% equity in your home
when you refinance. A reputable mortgage broker or lender will
recommend that you keep some equity in your home so you can sell
your property if situations dictate.

Does the type of mortgage I have affect my refinancing decision?
Absolutely. Talk to a qualified mortgage professional first, before you
make your decision. That person will help you compare your current
mortgage rate/product to current market rates, available mortgage terms,
and types of mortgages available based on your discussions. I look at
mortgage products based on an indebt analysis of the clients needs.
With that in mind, some general rules apply. If rates are falling, I would
advise a homeowner to stay in their current loan until a 2% spread
between their current loan and future refinance loan. If a client has a
loan product that adjusts downward during a period of decreasing rates,
I recommend they stay with that product until a projected rate increase
period that will increase over a protracted period. When rates start to
increase, and are projected to continue to increase, I would advise a
homeowner with a loan product that adjusts, when rates adjust, to move
towards a fixed mortgage product (7, 10, 15 or 20 year mortgage
depending upon an individual’s situation). If the homeowner is
geographically displaced due to employment, say five years or less, a
long-term fixed mortgage is not the optimal product. If the homeowner
plans to stay in a specific geographical area and in that same home for
a long period of time, I’d recommend a long-term fixed rate product and
possibly a home owner’s line of credit (HELOC) to supplement the
homeowner’s financial decisions. With long-term mortgages a
homeowner can still opt to pay more on the principal, reducing the term
of the loan and interest costs.

What are economic indicators that bode well for refinancing?
A knowledgeable mortgage professional should understand economic
indicators, and will be able to give you an accurate assessment on
whether to refinance or not. Are interest rates rising or falling? With
refinancing, timing is everything. If rates are falling and they are lower
than your mortgage rate (a general rule is 1 - 2 % lower then your
current fixed rate), it could be a good time to refinance. If not, it might be
a better idea to sit tight and forgo refinancing for now.

Credibility: 15 Facets to Speaking Professionalism: #4 - Grammar

For aspiring and experienced speakers alike, each aspect of credibility is to be closely guarded and continually built upon. This series of articles will focus on 15 facets of credibility that must exist for all speakers to succeed over the long run. “Instant Credibility” through celebrity or notoriety must be nurtured for a career to flourish. If you are building from the ground up, each point must be examined and properly attended to in order to build deep roots on the speaking circuit.

Facet #4: Grammar

Notice I didn’t say good grammar - though that is the primary goal. Our use of grammar is a reflection of who we are, from our upbringing to our education, from our geographic point of origin to our economic class. Correctly or incorrectly, grammar is a tent pole on which we are evaluated, judged, and categorized.

5 Effective Uses of Grammar:

1. Incorrectly - to make a point. Incorrect grammar in the midst of an otherwise grammatically correct presentation will draw attention to your point. Use this to either illustrate a mistake or to create humor.

2. Colloquially - but tread lightly! In the South, using “y’all” is appropriate, although still best used for humor unless you are a Southerner yourself. But beware over-usage, which may be mistaken for disrespect.

3. Simply - don’t risk confusion. Many speakers spend hours to hone a sentence for the perfect phrasing, and the result will often leave the audience straining to remember (or even understand) the fancy words.

4. Clever Phrasing - triads and alliterations.

a. Triads are words in threes, often with the same first letter, such as big, bad, and bodacious. Presenting ideas in threes is one of the oldest tricks in the book - our minds are trained to pick up on triads - not too little, not too much.

b. Alliterations are words that sound the same used to make a point: expect my advice to be concise and precise.

5. Correctly - what a concept! Correct usage of whatever language you are speaking in identifies you as intelligent, learned, and credible. It allows the audience to focus on the meaning of your message instead of critiquing the words from which it’s built.

An often over-looked grammatical faux pas is the umm, err, ah method of stalling or regaining thought. While many speakers dismiss this concept, saying it “keeps them real”, who would you rather listen to? I go nuts listening to someone say uh 20 times as they work to make their point, regardless of their inherent genius.

The best approach when you are grasping for words or concepts is silence. It’s never as long as you think it is, and it almost always makes you look thoughtful and ponderous. It will often work in your favor, underlining the point you have just made.

Your use of grammar as a speaker will work to build your image to the audience. Poor grammar will often pigeonhole you as a pretender and limit your opportunities. Strong and creative use of grammar will set you apart from the crowd, and add to your credibility on the stage.

If grammar is a weakness, (and just ask a few family members, they’ll tell you), fix it. Take a class at a community college, or go buy a book and analyze a recording of your last presentation. Use grammar check when you write. As my old English teacher used to say: “You must know the rules in order to know when to break them.” This investment in yourself is well worth your time and money!

How to Master Communication Even if you failed High School Grammar

Does the thought of knowing your verbs from your adjective scare you? Can the word syntax send you running for cover? Or perhaps putting two words together in front of a crowd sends your body into complete melt down.
If so, there is help for you.

Have you ever wanted to communicate more effectively with other people, or dreamed of writing a novel.
Maybe you just want to write better reports, get your points across more clearly or be able to stand up in front of people and give a talk.

Often people will say to themselves, “I cant do that, I was never good at English in school.” Yet, this feeling of not good enough is where many communication masters began.

I know of people who stuttered as children and were told theyd never be able to read or talk, yet are well known speakers today. One other person that I know, immigrated to the US and had to learn English, yet today he is a speaker and author. These people discovered that it takes more that knowing your nouns and sentence structure to communicate with others.

Part of the challenge is, we were taught that if we can write a proper sentence then we can communicate are thoughts correctly. That is like saying if you can see than you can read or if you can hear you can listen. Unfortunately, this is not true for reading and listening are skills that we need to learn.

There are many people who have grammatically correct sentences with proper punctuation who can not write anything creative or interesting. It takes more than grammar to connect with other people.

Getting your thoughts, feelings, views and values across to another person are skills that you can learn and master.

It is important to understand that connecting with people can be very intensive and emotional whether you are feeling fear; anger, joy or ecstasy and many people shy away from this. Most often people misunderstand one another because people see things differently and can get upset when people do not see eye to eye with them.

There is a lot of fear of being wrong, of making mistakes, of failing or being perceived as being stupid in anyway. Many misunderstandings lead to disagreements and violence in trying to make or force their way of thinking. People can act as though their lives depended on being right as apposed to having a different point of view.
These create many barriers to communication which need to be overcome in order to connect with another person and master communication.

When you can release the need to be right, you can discover a whole new world of discoveries and wonders. Marianne Williamson said it well when she said, Do you want to be right, or do you want to be happy? It is important to understand, that to make the world work, we need different views, outlooks, likes and desires.

Many problems happen with people who share the same birth language. There seems to be an assumption that if you spoke the same language that the other person should automatically understand you.

What most people do not realize is that on a physiological level, our brains are all wired differently due to the way, environment and culture that we have been raised in. This also helps to create our psychological out look and personalities.

There is also our metaphysical nature which affects whether we are willing to try and connect with other people. We are influenced by Universal laws, even when we are not aware of them. For example, if you did not know that gravity existed, it wouldnt stop you from falling off of a cliff. On a quantum level our beliefs and attitudes affects the outcome of our ability to interact with each other. For example many people have heard of “Cause and Effect”. In this law, as you treat others, so shall you be treated. On a scientific level, we are electromagnetic spectrums of energy. So the energy that we give off, we attract back, because like attracts like. This means, when you give off anger, hatred, judgments or love, kindness, and understanding, you are attracting the very same behaviour back to you. This in turn, affects your ability to communicate and connect with other people.

Your beliefs have an impact on whether you are happy or sad, have abundance or poverty, health or suffering and even of what you can or cannot be, have or do.
It is when we are aware of our own beliefs and values we can work on seeing if they work for us, or if we need to change or alter them.
So maybe youre asking yourself, where do I begin? That question is easy to answer, with yourself. So often people have no idea what they want and hope that other people will figure it out for them. I have seen people get mad at other people for not knowing what they want or for misunderstanding them.
It is important to realize that we cant communicate to others before we clearly know what we want and where we are heading. The people that I spoke about earlier; their lives improved when they clearly understood what they wanted, and then were able to ask others for guidance and moved forward in helping others. For communicating is connecting with others.
The second area, once you understand yourself, is that its important to understand others and their reality. The next step would be to realize that what you think you are seeing and understanding may not be an exact representation of reality. Our brains filter out most information around us so as not to overload us. What it chooses to let through are things that are important to us and things that are a potential danger. Any information that is considered in conflict with our perceived reality and beliefs is filtered away. So you need to be open to learning and discovery.

Now, if you take this information, consider the following. What if you realized that reality is often illusive and personal? What if you where to discover that the main block to your growth and answers are in the way the you perceive yourself, the world around you and of what you believe you can achieve? And what if you were to understand that the answers werent out there, but inward and that you already have what you need to communicate clearly to others? What if I told you, that what you had to do was to be willing to look anew, and that it can build from there?
See if you cant realize the possibilities from understanding yourself and others around you in order to master communication.
Today, we are asking more questions and wanting more answers. Today more than ever people are asking, what if I can?
